Brezzo are Italian honey experts, sourcing a range of specialty honeys from wild flowers and using non-thermal extraction treatments to ensure the honey is treated as gently as possible. This honey is made from chestnut flowers, which only blossom in May and June. It has a strong, aromatic, herbal flavour with a lingering finish and is delicious served with hard, full-flavoured cheeses. 500g jar.
Chestnut honey has special characteristics and properties. The colour is dark with reddish hues and because of the high content of fructose it remains liquid. The taste is bitter, and it is very appreciated by consumers who consider too sweet the flavour of the other types of honey.
Chestnut honey is rich in minerals, so it is recognized as an excellent tonic and is widely used by sportsmen. Chestnut honey is one of the honeys more indicated to pair many types of cheese.
